Like the combination manual machine, manual strapping tensioners are also a very common and economical strapping option. The manual strapping tool can be used for different types of tape – polypropylene, polyester and textile. However, their most widespread use is in strapping with polyester PET strapping in combination with metal buckles.
Manual tensioners can be used with both metal seals and metal buckles. Unlike combination strapping tools, however, manual tensioners cannot be used to clamp a metal seal to the strapping band. The Tensioners only serve to tighten and shear the strapping after it has been tightened sufficiently. This is why they are most successfully used in combination with polyester strapping band and metal buckles, where the process does not require clipping.
