As the name suggests, pre-stretch film is pre-stretched by special machines and then rolled into rolls. This is why it is usually available in thicknesses from 5 to 9 microns. It is also available in manual and machine versions and in widths from 390mm to 430mm.
The advantages of pre-stretched film are three. First, it requires no physical force in use because it is already stretched, which is a plus for your employees. Second, the consumption rate of a packed pallet with it is much easier to control and most often much smaller, resulting in saved money. Third, it is much more resistant to knocks and drops, which minimizes loss.
