Metal buckles, like seals, are used to hold the strapping after it has been tensioned with a strapping machine. Metal buckles are most commonly used in conjunction with polyester / PET / strapping tape for the packaging of heavy loads such as timber and building materials.
The process of strapping using PET tape and metal buckles is as follows. First, the metal buckle is inserted and the polyester band is passed through the buckle in a specific manner. Secondly, the strapping is tightened by means of a hand strapping machine. Third, the strapping band is cut.
Again like metal seals, metal buckles are produced in a variety of sizes but the most used are 12mm,16mm and 19mm. These sizes are used for fixing polyester / PET / strapping band with widths of 12mm, 16mm and 19mm respectively.
Legno EOOD offers its customers high quality metal buckles in boxes of 1000 pieces.
