Manual stretch film is extremely widely applicable for packaging goods. It is used in manufacturing, trade, logistics and a range of other industries. Manual stretch is used for packing individual goods, boxes, whole pallets and more. It is particularly suitable for productions that do not use stretch wrappers, as well as for logistics warehouses, shops and other non-production sites.
We offer manual stretch film in a variety of sizes, widths and thicknesses. It is usually available in rolls from about 1kg to about 3-3.5kg, packed in cartons of 6, but we can also provide customer-specific cuts. As a general rule, the thicker the film, the fewer meters there are in a roll compared to thinner film, but this is why it’s important to handpick the right thickness of film for your needs, so you can get as many meters as possible from each roll. Regarding the stretchability, the most used stretch films have a stretchability of up to about 300%.
How to choose?
As we have already seen, hand film is available in rolls of different weights and different thicknesses. To choose the right one for you, you need to consider what you will be using it for. For example, if your goal is to wrap whole pallets with heavy goods, the suitable manual film for you is a 3kg roll with a thickness of 23 microns, because in this way you strengthen your goods well and get a lower price for packing a pallet. On the other hand, if your goal is to package light packages that you send by courier, a suitable film is a thinner thickness, such as 17 microns, and a lower weight per roll. This way you make it easier for yourself in packing and earn more meters per roll.
